Most "team building activities in Bangalore" lists are written by people who have never run one. This one isn't.
Batoota Games has been running corporate team building since 2004 — over twenty years, as the games division of Vertis & Barrow. In that time we've worked with Deloitte, Schneider Electric, Makino India, Aveva, Inteva Products and Accelalpha (an IBM company), several of them for a decade or more. We own a world-class inventory of props, including giant inflatables imported from around the world, which is why we can run a 300-person activity as comfortably as a 20-person one.
Every activity below is one we actually run. Real group sizes, real formats, honest notes on what each one is genuinely good for.
Below: 24 activities grouped by type, with the practical details you need to shortlist.
How to choose the right activity
Indoor or outdoor? Most of our formats work either way — we design for adaptability because Bangalore's monsoon (June–September) makes a purely outdoor booking a gamble. A handful are genuinely outdoor-only: the treasure hunt, Jajantaram Mamantaram, and High Fliers all want open ground. Everything else runs equally well in a banquet hall, an auditorium, or your own office floor.
Group size. This is usually the real constraint, and it's where we differ most from smaller providers. Under 50, almost anything on this list works. Above 200, your shortlist narrows to the formats built to scale — BoomWhackers (up to 1,000), Building Bridges and Colours of Collaboration (up to 500), Carnival Olympics (500+), and the treasure hunts (300+). Sub-teams are the mechanism: the activities that scale are the ones that split cleanly and reconnect at the end.
Half day or full day? The activities with published timings mostly run 90 minutes to 3 hours, which fits a half-day slot with room for lunch. LEGO® Serious Play is the exception — we offer full-day versions for leadership and strategy alignment.
What outcome do you want? Pure bonding after a tough quarter is a different brief from cross-team communication, resilience, or leadership development. We've flagged the fit for each activity, and every programme is customised to your goals before we run it — that briefing conversation is standard, not an upsell.
Where? We come to you. Offices, conference venues, hotels, campuses and offsite resorts across Bangalore — Whitefield, Koramangala, MG Road, Electronic City and beyond. We also travel: recent programmes have run at Club Mahindra Virajpet, Ooty, and Goa.
Themed and pop-culture experiences
Recognisable formats. Low explanation overhead — people already know the rules, so you spend the time playing instead of briefing.
Squid Game Team Building
Safe, prop-based versions of the rounds everyone recognises: Red Light Green Light, the Shape Cutter Challenge, Tug-of-War, a safe Glass Bridge, and trivia elimination. Foam materials and modified rules mean the tension is real but the risk isn't. Game Masters run full facilitation with themed props throughout. Reliably one of the most photographed activities we do.
Group size 20–200+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for large groups, high energy, decision-making under pressure
Money Heist Team Building
Teams become the crew. Missions involve decoding puzzles, cracking safes and retrieving treasure while working around obstacles, all under time pressure. Roles have to be assigned and information shared fast — which is exactly what makes it a good mirror for how your teams actually operate when a deadline bites.
Group size 10–20 for small groups, scaling to 200+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor — offices, hotels, resorts · Best for strategy, cross-team communication, new-hire icebreakers
Lord of the Rings Team Building
A quest format built from five linked challenges: the Middle Earth Quest Trail (map and clue collection), Battle of Five Teams (mini physical and mental rounds), Wizard's Code (riddles and logic puzzles), Tower Defence (build a structure against the clock), and the Ring Relay. Roles are assigned by character, which gives people ownership of a specific job. You don't need to have seen the films.
Group size 20–200+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for full-day offsites, role ownership, narrative momentum
Lord of the Rings Team Building →
Jajantaram Mamantaram Team Adventure
A large-scale outdoor game built around oversized props — foam logs, giant balls, castles to navigate, a crown to capture. Squads assign leaders, runners, defenders and strategists, then compete across giant-themed zones on missions like treasure returns and prop assembly. Low physical impact despite the scale, because everything is light foam. Works on open lawns, sports grounds, company campuses and public parks.
Group size 20–200 · Setting Outdoor · Best for annual days, campus fests, large groups wanting spectacle
Jajantaram Mamantaram Team Adventure →
Racing-Themed Team Building
The Grand Prix Challenge: teams design their own mini race tracks and vehicles from large props and recyclable materials, then compete in speed rounds, relay sprints and a creative vehicle showcase. Materials can carry your company branding. Runs on open lawns, terraces, corporate premises, or indoors with smaller track formats.
Group size 20–200 (teams of 4–6) · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for process and handoffs, branded events
Plot My Play Acting Challenge
Each team gets a mystery plot, a trunk of props and a music soundscape, then has 30 minutes to script and rehearse a play they perform in under 7 minutes. Randomised plots mean nobody can prepare. Reliably the activity that gets the quietest people involved — and the one people still reference months later.
Group size 10+ to 100+ · Setting Indoor · Best for creativity, breaking the ice, surfacing hidden confidence
Plot My Play Acting Challenge →
Lights, Camera, Reaction
A structured improv and performance workshop: warm-up games, rough script planning, coached rehearsal, then 2–3 minute scenes performed to the room, followed by a facilitated reflection. Smaller and more intimate than most things on this list, with teams of 4–6 per scene. Strong finish, because everyone watches the results together.
Group size 10–50 (teams of 4–6) · Setting Indoor — office halls, conference rooms, hotels · Best for creative collaboration, presentation confidence, psychological safety
Build and make challenges
Physical construction under constraints. The most reliable formats for large groups, because they split cleanly into sub-teams and produce something visible at the end.
Build Your Miniature City
Sub-teams each design and build a district — roads, green spaces, buildings, landmarks — and everything must connect into one coherent urban layout. The interfaces are the point: it exposes how well teams coordinate across boundaries, and it doubles neatly as a sustainability-themed session.
Group size 20–500 · Setting Indoor or outdoor — offices, campuses, lawns · Best for cross-functional teams, strategy workshops, vision alignment
Build Your Own Mountain
Each team gets a limited kit — foam blocks, ropes, connectors, markers — and must ideate, strategise, build and then test a symbolic mountain against the clock. Facilitators score on structural soundness, team dynamics, creativity and presentation, then run a debrief connecting it back to real project cycles. A Bangalore fintech firm used it for a leadership retreat; one manager called it "a perfect simulation of how we handle product sprints — except more fun and chaotic."
Group size 15–150 · Setting Indoor or outdoor — conference halls, lawns, offices · Best for planning under pressure, resource optimisation, leadership retreats
Building Bridges
Separated groups each build a section of a bridge, working from limited materials. At the end every section must align and connect into one structure strong enough to carry real weight — sometimes a person walking across it. Communication is constrained by design, and that constraint is where the learning is.
Group size 10–500 · Setting Indoor or outdoor — banquet halls, offices, lawns · Best for inter-team communication, trust, newly merged or cross-functional teams
Cardboard Cart Racing
Teams design and build a life-sized cart from cardboard and limited supplies — strong enough to carry two people — then race it to the finish line. The build phase rewards planning; the race rewards nerve. Carts are built under supervision and the race is run in a controlled area.
Group size 15–200+ · Setting Best outdoors, adaptable to large indoor spaces · Best for engineering-minded teams, employee engagement days
LEGO® Serious Play
A facilitated method, not a toy session. LEGO® Serious Play uses the hand-brain connection and storytelling through models to get teams talking about things that are hard to say out loud. Sessions are built around a question you choose — "what does success look like for us?", "how do we solve this recurring issue?", "what do we want our culture to feel like?" — with individual builds, group builds, and a debrief that converts insight into actions. All materials and kits provided.
Group size 10–100+ · Setting Indoor — your office, a conference venue, or a retreat space · Best for strategy, leadership teams, decision deadlocks, quarterly and annual planning
Trash to Treasure
Teams receive assorted waste — cartons, bottle caps, rubber, tyres, e-waste — plus supervised access to cutting, drilling and grinding tools, and turn it into something genuinely useful: planters, organisers, decor. Teams keep what they make. The most natural fit on this list for a CSR or sustainability agenda.
Group size 10–200+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for creativity, CSR and sustainability framing, hands-on problem solving
Treasure hunts and problem solving
X Marks the Spot Treasure Hunt
Our signature hunt. Teams work from custom maps, decode riddles, complete tasks across a mapped zone and race to the final marker. Clues and challenges can be themed around your company values or goals. Scales well and naturally splits a large group into competing sub-teams.
Group size 20–300+ · Setting Outdoor — resorts, campuses, office lawns · Best for large groups, mixed fitness levels, offsites
X Marks the Spot Treasure Hunt →
Gold Digger Treasure Hunt
The same idea, run on smartphones. Teams scan QR codes placed around the venue; each scan unlocks a riddle, a task or a photo challenge, and solving it reveals the next location. Lower setup overhead than a physical clue trail, and it works just as well indoors. All anyone needs is a phone with a camera.
Group size 10–300+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for digital-savvy teams, indoor venues, hybrid groups
Chain Reaction
A giant Rube Goldberg machine. Teams get dominoes, balls, tubes, ramps and pulleys, and each designs a segment that must trigger the next one. Then everything is connected and tested in one run. One failure stops the whole chain — which is precisely the conversation you want to have afterwards about dependencies and shared accountability.
Group size 10–100+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for dependencies, cross-team handoffs, innovation workshops
Do You Have It In You Challenge
A resilience format: a series of customised obstacle-based tasks and creative problem-solving games that escalate in difficulty. Intensity is tuned to your group, and challenges are designed to be inclusive across fitness levels. Tests grit and mutual support more than skill.
Group size 10–100+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for resilience, competitive teams, leadership workshops
Do You Have It In You Challenge →
Creative and arts-based
Inner Picasso Team Painting
Also called Colours of Collaboration, or Palette Power. Smaller groups each paint a section of a much larger canvas; when the sections are assembled the finished artwork represents the whole room's effort, and it's usually built around company values. Nobody needs to be able to paint. The finished piece typically ends up on an office wall, which extends the effect well past the day itself.
Group size 10–500 · Setting Indoor or outdoor — banquet halls, offices, lawns · Best for values work, mixed-ability groups, milestone events
BoomWhackers Percussion
Colour-coded tuned percussion tubes, one note each. A facilitator teaches interlocking beat patterns and a whole room learns to play a piece together — a live percussive orchestra assembled from people with, in most cases, no musical background at all. This is the most scalable activity we run: it works for up to 1,000 participants in a single ensemble, which makes it a strong conference or annual-day opener.
Group size Up to 1,000 · Setting Indoor or outdoor — works well in large indoor venues · Best for very large groups, conference openers, instant inclusion
Make Someone Smile
The gentlest format on this list. Participants carry out small, deliberate acts of kindness for colleagues — encouraging notes, surprise gestures, lighthearted challenges — with a bicycle assembly and gifting element at its heart. No competition, minimal setup, and it works in an office, a cafe, an auditorium or a lawn. The right choice when the team needs warmth rather than adrenaline.
Group size 10–100+ · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for CSR days, wellness programmes, emotional-intelligence and culture work
Outdoor and physical
Boat Race Team Building
"Row Your Boat." Teams get pre-cut materials and a patented blueprint, build a functional boat, then race it across an inflatable pool. Genuinely memorable, and the build-then-test structure punishes any team that skips the planning phase. The inflatable pool setup adapts to indoor halls as well as outdoor lawns.
Group size 10–200 · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for offsites, engineering and innovation teams, summer outings
Carnival Olympics
Teams are split by colour — red, blue, green — given a scorecard, and move through five activity zones testing agility, coordination, accuracy and communication. Each win earns a seal; most seals takes the title. Designed for all ages and fitness levels, which makes it the safest choice when you have a genuinely mixed room. One of our most-booked formats for annual days.
Group size 20–500+ · Setting Best outdoors; adapts to hotels and banquet halls · Best for large mixed groups, annual days, milestone events
High Fliers Trust Building
Structured trust work with managed physical risk. A safety briefing and warm-up, then trust falls, then movement between low platforms and soft zones guided by teammates, with difficulty increasing under controlled conditions — and a facilitated debrief at the end. We supply crash mats, harnesses where needed, certified trainers and spotters. Participation rotates so the group stays safe and engaged.
Group size 10–100 (rotation-based) · Setting Indoor or outdoor — gyms, halls, lawns, rooftops · Best for trust, psychological safety, smaller and senior teams
Strategy and negotiation
Power & Wealth Negotiation Game
Also known as The Wealth of Nations. Teams are assigned resources — land, money, raw materials, business assets — and must negotiate, trade and form alliances to maximise wealth and influence. Every decision has a cost: collaborate with a competitor or go alone, invest or conserve. The closest format on this list to actual commercial pressure, and the one senior teams tend to remember.
Group size 15–150, scalable further · Setting Indoor or outdoor · Best for sales teams, leadership development, negotiation and strategy training

What this looks like in practice
Three examples, in our clients' own words.
Deloitte — three consecutive annual outings, Club Mahindra Virajpet and Ooty
K. Latha describes building and racing cardboard Formula 1 cars at Virajpet, then a large-scale "Palette Power" painting session at Ooty. Her note on scale is the part worth reading twice:
"I was pleasantly surprised to see how a team of 300 pax were highly engaged and engrossed in 'Painting and Play'. Batoota Games truly delivers high-impact activities."
Schneider Electric — a ten-year partnership
Amit Bansal on why they've kept coming back:
"They constantly innovate and come up with tailor-made solutions for different teams with different goals… their team-building games are thoughtfully designed, highly engaging, and always manage to bring our teams closer, irrespective of team size, nationality and age spectrum of the participants. We never realised when they became a trusted partner and advisor for all our team building activities from just a team building vendor."
Accelalpha, an IBM company — 300 participants, Novotel Dona Sylvia, Goa, 2024
Mohammed Rafi Patan, on a session run the morning after a late night of cultural performances, in full Goan sun:
"Batoota Games and Amir were fabulous. They managed to keep the energy high… the games started and finished seamlessly without any gaps. They carry a dedicated DJ just for games which in my opinion enhances the whole experience."
Makino India has had us run their annual day repeatedly since 2015. Aveva, Inteva Products and others have said similar things — you'll find their words on our home page.
Frequently asked questions
How much do team building activities in Bangalore cost?
Each activity we set up has a different price associated with it. Contact us for a customised quote based on your group size, format and venue.
How many people can take part?
Anywhere from 10 to 1,000, depending on the format. Small and senior groups suit Lights, Camera, Reaction (10–50) or High Fliers (10–100). Mid-size groups have the widest choice. For very large events, BoomWhackers scales to 1,000, Carnival Olympics to 500+, Building Bridges and Inner Picasso to 500, and the treasure hunts to 300+. We've run 300-person sessions in Ooty and Goa, so scale is a solved problem rather than a stretch.
How long does an activity take?
Most published formats run between 90 minutes and 3 hours — Build Your Own Mountain is 90–120 minutes, High Fliers 60–90, Carnival Olympics around 2 hours, and Cardboard Cart Racing, Power & Wealth and Do You Have It In You each 2–3 hours. LEGO® Serious Play runs 2–3 hours with a full-day option for leadership and strategy work.
How far in advance should we book?
At least 1–2 weeks in advance. That said, we can often work to a shorter timeline — talk to us if you need a quick turnaround.
Do you provide the venue?
We come to you. We run programmes at your office, conference venues, hotels, campuses and offsite resorts across Bangalore, including Whitefield, Koramangala, MG Road and Electronic City. We also travel for offsites — recent programmes have run at Club Mahindra Virajpet, Ooty and Goa. We handle space layout, prop delivery and full facilitation.
Indoor or outdoor — which works better?
Both, and most of our formats do either. Outdoor gives more energy and scale; indoor is monsoon-proof and runs year-round. If you're booking between June and September, either pick an indoor-capable format or agree a backup space in advance. The three that really want open ground are X Marks the Spot, Jajantaram Mamantaram and High Fliers.
Do you run these in Chennai too?
Yes — we run corporate team building in Bangalore, Chennai and across India. One exception worth flagging: LEGO® Serious Play is currently Bangalore-only, though we will travel for larger engagements.
Can activities be customised to our goals?
Yes, and it's how we work by default rather than an add-on. Before an event we'll talk through the outcome you want — bonding, cross-team communication, resilience, leadership alignment — and shape the scenario, difficulty and debrief around it. Branding, team names, custom awards and company values can all be built into the activity itself.
Do participants need any prior skill or fitness?
No. Every activity here is facilitator-led and designed for people with no background in painting, music, acting, engineering or LEGO®. Formats with a physical component are inclusive by design and can be scaled for different comfort levels.
